Dr. Klope was born and raised in Ventura, CA. He attended elementary, junior high and high school in Ventura, graduating from Buena High School in 1974. He attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, and graduated in 1979 with a B.S. in Biology, Cum Laude, with a Special Achievement Scholarship Award in Music Performance.
Dr. Klope attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN and received his M.D. in 1983. He completed his Residency in Urologic Surgery at the Louisiana State University Medical Center and Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA in 1988.
Following completion of his residency, Dr. Klope entered active duty in the U.S. Navy. He served as Staff Urologist at the Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton, CA. He was also an instructor in the Family Practice Residency Program at the Naval Hospital
Dr. Klope has been practicing adult and pediatric Urology in Ventura since 1991. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and renewed his certification in 2010.
